Autism

Autism is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by delayed language development, social skills impairment and abnormal behaviour. Autism is reaching epidemic proportions, afflicting approximately 1 in 166 children.

Given the potency of cord blood CD34+ cells to induce angiogenesis in areas of cerebral hypo perfusion, this cell type may be particularly useful for the treatment of Autism.
